------------------------------------------------------------------ Battery Test Engineer职位描述: I. Background Information Position Title: Battery Test Engineer Function/Department: Engineering, GM China Location: Shanghai
II. Purpose of Position
Develop and coordinate test plans to support the development and verification of advanced Batteries (focused on Lithium-Ion batteries) used for Hybrid Electric Vehicle and Battery Electric Vehicle from the Asia Pacific (AP) region for use globally. Verify the function and sufficiency of the hardware, software and calibration used in the energy storage control system and strategy. Discuss test assignments with customers; develop necessary test fixtures, test methods and procedure codes; conduct tests; analyze results and generate reports. With the assistance from lab technicians, manage the lab’s daily operation; create machine maintenance plan and calibration plan. Independent judgment is required with some direction from the supervisor. Work with GM Global Battery Engineering in test resource collaboration.
III. Areas of Responsibility  Conduct battery tests per the request and assignment from product engineers  Analyze test requirements, design and prepare necessary test fixture, develop testing and measurement methods, develop software of for test procedure, conduct test, track test progress, optimize test controls on need basis, collect test data, analyze test results, and generate test reports  Take part in GM global battery engineering meeting, report test status and results  Work with product engineer on battery failure mode analyzing and root cause finding  Develop new test methods to support some specific needs  Manage lab resources, including lab safety and cleanliness, instruments inventory, calibration schedule, and maintenance  Work with Purchasing, and Engineering to identify potential sourcing needs and requirement  Identify cost savings opportunities
IV. Requirements- Knowledge, Skills, Experience, etc
Qualifications:  Master Degree or above in Chemical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Vehicle Engineering or related field  Extensive knowledge on electrochemical devices, particular Li-ion batteries  Proficiency in test procedure codes programming  Proficiency in test data processing and analysis, proficiency in relevant software and code programming  Well understand test standards and specifications  Demonstrate high level of interpersonal communication skills  Good oral and written communication skills in Mandarin and English  Good PC skills, email, MS Office
Experience:  Former experience in battery testing is preferred.  Experience with electrochemical devices usage  Experience in problem investigation and applying sound technical judgment to develop solutions ------------------------------------------------------------------ Energy and Drive Quality Engineer职位描述: I. II. Purpose of Position • Develop vehicle program fuel economy strategies to achieve fuel economy and drive performance targets • To work with joint ventures on their new vehicle programs fuel economy and drive performance analysis and improvement • To work with multi-function teams, including powertrain, planning, performance integration engineers, packaging integration engineers, on the vehicle fuel economy and drive performance solutions. • To perform analytical studies for new engines applied to the existing vehicle programs and check the vehicle fuel economy and drive performance in comparison to the major competitors.
III. Areas of Responsibility • Balance energy with other vehicle requirements and participate in the energy allocation decisions and impacts • Provide appropriate program fuel economy and performance updates as requested • Support the continued development of analytical and process tools utilized in fuel economy and drive quality • Comprehend emerging and competitive advanced technologies that may enable vehicle fuel economy and performance improvements • Champion and Drive mass reduction programs and workshops at all levels: SMT, Systems, and Component • Support and develop mass reduction strategies that lead to vehicle fuel economy • Balance mass requirements: curb, test weight class, GVW with other vehicle requirements and participate in the allocation decisions and impacts
IV. Requirements- Knowledge, Skills, Experience, etc • Related working experiences in Auto industry, especially vehicle level fuel economy and drive performance experience. • Functional knowledge of cars and light trucks. • Strong demonstrated analytical skills and CAE tools application skills such as Matlab, AVL cruise, GM Unified Model, etc. • Demonstrated ability to work independently • High level of interpersonal skills to work effectively with others • High level of analytical ability where problems are unusual or difficult • Self-motivated and able to work independently • Good communication skills in both English and Chinese • Effective and strong team player exercising good work aptitude • University Degree, with a major in Mechanical Engineering. Advanced degree desirable. |
